A: Both courses provide you with the same education and certification. The difference is how the student wants to approach their education. In-Person: Instructor sets the pace of the course and the due dates. You will have face to face time with the instructors every week. Skills are spaced out throughout the course and you will have a dedicated instructor for your course to answer questions. Self-Paced: Set your own pace. Flexibility to complete your course work and pick when you want to finish your course. Access to an instructor to answer any questions you have. Course is intended for students who are looking for a flexible course structure that a traditional in-person class will not be able to provide to the student.
A: All EMT courses cost $1530.00 and include a BLS certification, polo shirt, and NREMT psychomotor exam.
A: The EMT course is 3 ½ month with students attending class twice a week for 4 hours a day.
Self-paced courses are a maximum of one year and a minimum of 30 days. It is recommended allowing 3 to 4 month to complete the online portion of the course
A: Yes. All mandatory online material must be completed prior to the start date of the skills week.
A: In order to be eligible to earn a NREMT/State EMT certification each student needs to hold a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, hold a current Healthcare provider CPR certificate, complete Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness, Landing Zone Officer, and Extrication Awareness Certifications.
A: Each student is required to attend one 8 to 12 hour “shift” with an approved clinical site.
Option 1: Complete payment during online registration.
Option 2: Tuition payment plans. Multiple payments are accepted. Half of the total tuition must be paid prior to the start date of the registered course. The remaining balance can be split into three additional separate payments. A 10% fee is applied to the remaining unpaid tuition balance at the start of class.
Yes. The state of ID and the NREMT requires each student to complete a clinical rotation during the EMT course.
Yes. Students are permitted to schedule their own clinical with the approval of the clinical site and IMA.
